Things You'll Need
Instructions
Check that your Nintendo Wii is correctly connected to your TV, power outlet and the console's sensor bar. To ensure a clean connection, disconnect and reconnect all cables securely. Many game display or control errors are caused by a faulty connection.
Make sure the disc is inserted correctly into your Nintendo Wii. If the console is lying flat, it can be easy to accidentally insert discs upside down. The console should be lying so all system buttons are beneath the game slot, and the game must be inserted label side up.
Check that your Nintendo Wii is not operating in a place that could hinder operation or damage the machine. The console should be in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area and not placed in direct sunlight or exposed to excess dust. Never sit a game console directly on a carpeted floor, as this can cause dust to interfere with the machine's ventilation. If necessary, move the console to a more optimal area.
Check the disc to ensure it is not dirty or marked. Nintendo DS game discs can be cleaned by rubbing with a clean, lint-free cloth lightly sprayed with glass cleaner. Clean in straight strokes from the center to outside of the game disc: do not clean in circular motions as this can create scratches.
Try other games in your Nintendo Wii. If the only game that doesn't work is your "Tiger Woods" game, the game may need to be professionally resurfaced. If no games work in your Nintendo Wii, the console may be faulty. Contact Nintendo to arrange a repair or replacement.
