How to Assemble a Wii

The Nintendo Wii is an interactive video game console that was released in 2006. Like most other gaming consoles, the normal wear and tear can occur over time. So if you have recently disassembled your Wii in order to diagnose a problem or replace a part, you may be wondering how to put it back together. The good news is that the process of reassembling your Wii is relatively straightforward.

Instructions

    • 1

Start with the bottom half of the Wii console. This is the half with the green motherboard attached to it. Locate the metal motherboard cover and place it over the board. Then use your Phillips screwdriver to replace all the screws that hold it in place.

    • 2

Locate the square black disk drive and replace it in its compartment right next to the motherboard. Replace the screws at the base of the drive that secure it to the housing.

    • 3

Place the top half of the Wii housing over the bottom half. Replace all screws along the sides and seams of the two halves of the housing to secure the game console.

    • 4

Place the rectangular piece of the housing over the front of the Wii, over the ports in the console. Then replace all screws on the front of the Wii.

    • 5

Fit the black rectangular rubber guard over the ports in the front of the Wii console. Pat it down to make sure it is securely in place.

    • 6

Snap the plastic flaps back on the hinges located just above the front of the Wii console. You have now assembled your Wii.
