How to Unlock the Spear Pillar in Super Smash Bros Brawl

The Spear Pillar stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii is based on the Spear Pillar found at Mt. Coronet, in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum for the Nintendo DS. The stage consists of multiple tiers that are affected by the random Pokemon that sporadically appear on the screen. Unlocking the Spear Pillar takes a bit of time, practice, and preparation, since you need to clear the first 20 Event Stages--in order to unlock the Event Stage that nabs you the Spear Pillar.

Instructions

  Select "Solo" on the game's "Select Mode" menu and choose "Adventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary."

  Play through the Adventure Mode until you beat the "Subspace" stage. This may take time and persistence. Beating this stage unlocks Events 21 through 28, the grouping with the event to unlock the Spear Pillar.

  Return to the "Solo" menu and select "Events."

  Choose to play "Event 25." You play as Lucario against Ness and Shiek at the Spear Pillar.

  Defeat Ness and Shiek to complete the stage and unlock the Spear Pillar. There is a handicap in their favor: your character already has 182% damage at the start of the match. Thus it may take multiple attempts before you complete the objective.
