How to Use My Wireless Keyboard in Wii Animal Crossing

If you play Animal Crossing on the Wii, you're probably aware that there are plenty of in-game situations that require you to type. You can use the Wiimote to type out your messages, but doing so is slow and cumbersome compared to the other option you have--the Wii Wireless Keyboard from Logitech. By using a wireless keyboard, you'll save yourself quite a bit of time, time you can spend getting deeper into the world of Animal Crossing.

  Turn on your Nintendo Wii system and let it sit at the main menu.

  Remove the battery door on the underside of the wireless Wii keyboard and insert the provided batteries, then replace the door.

  Flick the switch next to the battery compartment to turn on the wireless Wii keyboard.

  Insert the wireless keyboard's USB dongle into a free USB port on the back of the Wii system.

  Insert your Animal Crossing game disc into the Wii's disc slot. When the game loads up and the icon shows up on the main menu screen, select it to start the game.

  Type using the wireless keyboard during the game in spots where you'd usually use the Wiimote. The keyboard should have automatically been detected and should be fully operational.
