How Do I Play Wii Games Without a Mod Chip?

The Nintendo Wii is a motion control gaming system that allows individuals to control their characters through the movement of the hand-held Wii controller. Although it is possible to adjust the way your Wii performs by installing mod chips, it is not necessary (and often voids the warranty on the system). Without the mod chip it is still possible to play all of the Wii-based video games.

  Hook the Nintendo Wii up to your TV. Plug the provided RCA audio/video cables into the "Out" port on the Wii, then insert the opposite ends of the cables into the "Video In" ports on the TV. Make sure the colors of the cables match the same colors as the connection ports.

  Power on the Nintendo Wii and the television. Set the TV to "Video" and the Nintendo Wii display screen appears on the television.

  Insert the Wii video game into the system. Wait for the game to load onto the television. Once the game loads, you are asked to press a corresponding button on the remote control (such as either "A" or "Start"). The game now loads and you are ready to use play your Nintendo Wii.
