How to Configure a WRT310N for a Nintendo Wii

A video gamer can use nearly any wireless router to connect the Nintendo Wii to a broadband Internet connection. The ease of setting up the wireless router to work with the Wii can vary greatly, with some wireless routers requiring several complicated adjustments in order to connect to the Wii. Thankfully, some wireless routers, such as the Linksys WRT310N, are especially easy to configure to use with the Nintendo Wii.

      Turn on your Linksys WRT310N wireless router. Make sure that it is connected to a broadband Internet connection. You can tell if it is connected because the "Internet" light on the front of the wireless router will glow if a connection is present.

      Turn on your personal computer and connect to the Linksys WRT310N wireless. You can connect either wirelessly or by using an Ethernet cable.

      Log into your Linksys WRT310N wireless router by opening a web browser and typing "http://192.168.1.1" into the web browser's address bar.

      Click the "Restore to System Defaults" option once you have logged into the wireless router. This will reconfigure all of the settings on your wireless router to the system defaults so that the WRT310N will work with the Nintendo Wii.
