How to Upload Games to a Wii

The Nintendo Wii Shop Channel offers a wide variety of classic games originally available for consoles like the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, NEOGEO and more. You'll need a broadband wireless Internet connection to access the store and a way to get Wii Points, either a credit card or Nintendo Points Card purchased from an authorized seller, to upload these games to your Wii. With the proper tools, you'll be uploading new games to your Wii in no time.

  Open the Wii Shop Channel on your Wii Home Menu.

  Browse the selection of games. You can search the games by title, release date, genre, console or popularity.

  Choose the game you want to purchase. You can either purchase Wii Points using a credit card or redeem your Nintendo Points Card to add points to your account.

  Click the "Download" button on the game's information page and the game will be downloaded to your Wii's memory. When the download is complete, you can access the your new game from the Wii Home Menu.
