Position the Nintendo Wii horizontally or vertically near your television. Connect the power adapter to the back on the Wii and to an AC wall outlet.
Make sure the sensor bar is place above or below your television, and then connect the sensor bar plug to the back of your Wii.
Connect the AV cables to the back of the Wii and then to the appropriate inputs of your television. Press down on the "On" button on the Wii until it turns green.
Find the correct input on your television to view the Wii menu. Most televisions have a "TV/Video" button to display video inputs, but you should check with your television's instruction booklet to know how to access the Wii.
Insert two AA batteries into the back of your Wii remote. Open the SD card slot on your Wii and press the "Sync" button and then press the "Sync" button below the batteries on your Wii remote.
Press the "A" button on your Wii remote and you will enter the Wii channel menu. Your Wii is now fully turned on and you can insert any Wii or GameCube game to play.
