How to Remove Wii Update

The Wii is a gaming console designed, manufactured and sold by Nintendo. The gaming console allows users to participate and interact with games via a wireless controller that responds to user movements. The Wii is also capable of connecting to a wireless network in the home, allowing for automatic system updates. If an update has been applied and you wish to remove it, you must format the memory of the Wii console. Formatting the memory will erase any and all data saved on your console.

  Power on the Wii console. The Wii Chanel Menu appears.

  Use the Wii remote to position the cursor over the ̶0;Wii̶1; button at the bottom left corner of the screen, and press the ̶0;A̶1; button.

  Use the Wii remote to position the cursor over ̶0;Wii Settings," which is the wrench icon, and press the ̶0;A̶1; button to enter the System Settings.

  Click the ̶0;left blue arrow̶1; twice to access the Wii Settings three menu options screen.

  Click ̶0;Format Wii System Memory.̶1;

  Click ̶0;Format̶1; to confirm that you wish to erase the Wii console̵7;s system memory.
