Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off your Nintendo Wii and remove the controller socket cover. This cover can be found on the top of the Wii when the Wii is sitting in the Wii stand plate.
Insert the WaveBird wireless receiver into the first open controller slot on the Nintendo Wii. Set the wireless receiver's channel to "1" using the channel selector on the front of the receiver.
Open the WaveBird controller battery compartment. Place two fresh AA batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the WaveBird controller. Close the compartment, then use the channel selector on the bottom of the WaveBird to set its channel to 1.
Turn on your Nintendo Wii and load any game that is compatible with GameCube controllers. All GameCube games should work, as well as some Wii games. You can tell if a Wii game is compatible by checking the back of its game box for the GameCube controller icon.
Flip the power switch on your WaveBird controller to "On." It will automatically connect to the receiver, and you should be able to begin playing immediately.
