The player gets the chance to prepare dishes by slicing, dicing, mixing, grilling and chopping using the Wii remote. Doing the cooking activities on the game feels like the real thing. This game features over 50 recipes from different countries around the world. Players can enjoy the game by themselves or they can play in two-player mode. In the two-player mode, the players compete simultaneously. They compete to complete the recipe first with the most points. Cooking Mama: Cook Off has a sequel, Cooking Mama: World Kitchen.

Two players can simultaneously play the game to help each other go through the challenges and restore peace in the kingdoms of the princesses.
