How to Connect a Wii Classic

The Wii Classic controller got its name because it resembles an older style Nintendo controller. It is held in both hands horizontally and is not reliant on the motion controls like the Wii Nunchuck and Remote. The Wii Classic controller can be used with any compatible Wii game. A game showing an icon of the Classic controller on the back of the box is a compatible game.

      Turn on your Wii system and boot up the compatible Wii Classic controller game.

      Turn on a Wii Remote.

      Plug the Wii Classic controller into the bottom of the Wii Remote. It goes into the large port at the bottom of the Remote. Push it in gently until you hear it click in place; this indicates it is locked. The controller should immediately connect when plugged in as long as the Wii Remote is powered on.
