How to Get Two Players for the Wii

The Nintendo Wii has the ability to play up to four players simultaneously in compatible multiplayer games. To add a second player, you will need to sync a second controller with the Wii.

Instructions

      Power on your Wii console.

      Open the memory card slot cover on the front of the console. Remove the battery cover on the Wii controller and locate the red ̶0;Sync̶1; button on each device.

      Press the ̶0;Sync̶1; button on the console and the corresponding ̶0;Sync̶1; button on the Wii controller. The LEDs on the controller will flash then stop when the Sync is complete. Check both of your Wii Remotes to see that one has the ̶0;Player 1̶1; LED lit while the other has the ̶0;Player 2̶1; LED lit.

      Start up a game that offers multiplayer capability.

      Select the game's multiplayer component and select the two player option.
