Turn on your Wii and wait for the main menu to appear.
Point at the "Wii Options" button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and press the "A" button on your Wii remote, then point to "Wii Settings," and press "A" again.
Point to the arrow on the right side of the screen and press "A," point to "Internet" and press "A," and then point to "Connection Settings," and press "A."
Point to "Connection 1" and press "A," point to "Wireless Connection" and press "A," point to "Search for an Access Point," and press "A" and then wait as your Wii searches for available Wireless access points.
Point to "Ok" and click "A" then point to your Wi-Fi connection in the list of access points and press "A" to select it.
Press "A" on the password text field if it appears and then use your Wii remote to type in your wireless connection's password using the onscreen keyboard. Point to "Ok," press "A" and then point to "Ok" and press "A" again to save the settings.
Press "A" again while hovering of the "Ok" button to start a connection test and choose "Yes" and "I accept" if prompted to update your Wii system. The update may take an hour or longer.
Insert the Wii game disk that you want to play over Wi-Fi and choose to play the game over Wi-Fi within the game's menus. Each game will have different menus, but there should be an option for Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
