How to Find the Master Sword in Twilight Princess

The Master Sword is a staple in "Zelda" lore. Link must find this mystical weapon in nearly every "Zelda" series game, as its power to repel evil is often necessary to defeat Ganon, Link's archnemesis, at the end of his journey. "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess," released in 2006 for the Nintendo Wii and GameCube, is no exception. The game grants access to the Master Sword upon solving a particular puzzle. Since the Master Sword is so integral to the story, players have no choice but to work through the puzzle successfully to receive the powerful blade.

Instructions

  Play through the game until you reach the Sacred Grove in the Faron province.

  Enter the clearing and stand on the large triforce symbol on the ground. Press the "Howl" button.

  Sing "Zelda's Lullaby." Doing so will cause the stone statues in the clearing to come to life. They will mimic your movements, hopping in the same directions that you do. Your goal is to get them back to their starting positions.

  Hop right, down, left, left, up, right, up, up, right, down, down, left, up. Completing this pattern will cause the door to the Pedestal of Time to open.

  Run through the door, up the stairs and into the clearing to claim your prize. The Master Sword will be resting in a block of stone.
