"Trauma Center: New Blood"
Released November 20, 2007, by Atlus, "Trauma Center: New Blood" allows you the opportunity to perform medical procedures as either doctors Markus Vaughn or Valerie Blalock, each of whom has a healing touch, in an attempt to fight off a disease named "stigma." Though the game features real-world health issues and all the stress a doctor encounters when operating, the game is rated "T" for teens because you don't actually see blood or organs. The game's co-op mode gives two players an opportunity to work together on the same challenge. A deep storyline, heavy drama and engaging gameplay earned "Trauma Center: New Blood" an 8.5 (of 10) rating on IGN.com.
"Zoo Hospital"
In "Zoo Hospital," released September 16, 2008, by Majesco, you play as a veterinarian who has just earned her license and goes to work at her aunt's zoo. It is your job to keep all of the animals at the zoo healthy and happy. As the zoo's vet, you treat many different types of ailments ranging from lice to viral infections, and many types of animals, from baboons to cobras, which you can pet. To restore the sick animal's health, you play a series a minigames, after which you are graded. "Zoo Hospital" is rated "E" for everyone and received a 6.8 rating from IGN.com.
"Petz Rescue: Wildlife Vet"
"Petz Rescue: Wildlife Vet" was released October 21, 2008, by Ubisoft and provides you the opportunity to treat animals, only this time you can also perform the procedures on the field. You start the game as a recruit for a nonprofit organization, and your objective is to keep your job while competing against another newcomer. A countdown clock times you while diagnosing, treating and releasing each animal, adding to the game's intensity. In addition, you have work with different tools, medicine and bandages when treating the animals, enhancing the game's complexity. "Petz Rescue: Wildlife Vet" is rated "E" for everyone and earned a 7 rating from IGN.com.
