How to Start a Game Over on My Wii

You may wish to completely restart a Nintendo Wii game after you've beaten it and found all the hidden secrets. Restarting a video game gives you the chance to relive all of its action and excitement for a fresh replay. Some games let you start fresh from within the game's main menu while others require you to manually delete saved data files.

  Restart a game with multiple save slots by choosing an open save slot or deleting a previous save slot. For example, "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" offers two save slots. Select a blank one, or if none are available, select the "Delete" option from the main menu to erase previously saved data.

  Erase all the saved data of a fighting or sports game, such as "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" or "Mario Kart Wii," to start the game from scratch.

  Select the "Wii" icon from the lower left corner of the screen and then choose "Data Management." Select "Saved Game Data" and then "Wii." Browse through the list of files until you locate the game you want to start over. Choose the "Delete" option to erase all data for that game and you'll be able to start over fresh.
