Instructions
Make sure there are no games or programs running on your Wii, and then turn off your Wii system. Unplug any connections to the Wii system, such as USB cards or adapters.
Unplug the Wii̵7;s AC adapter, which is the plug that runs from the back of the Wii to the wall outlet or power strip. Unplug both ends of the adapter.
Check the adapter for any physical damage, such as frayed wiring or cracks. A faulty adapter can cause power problems; if your adapter is damaged in any way, contact Nintendo to purchase a new one.
Wait for at least two minutes before plugging the adapter back in. After that time, plug the adapter back into the Wii and directly into a wall outlet for best reset results.
