How to stream Netflix to a Wii

As of spring 2010, Netflix now supports instant streaming of movies directly to your home television through a Wii. If you have a Wii at home, you will need a Netflix instant-streaming disc to activate your Wii to enable the instant streaming and to view movies in the future.

Netflix account that includes instant streaming
Wii connected to the Internet
Television

Instructions

  Request an instant-streaming disc from Netflix for your Wii. You will need this disc to set up and watch Netflix videos on your Wii at home. You can request an instant-streaming disc through your Netflix account.

  Insert the Netflix instant-streaming disc into your Wii console.

  Select the disc with your Wii-mote from the Wii home menu. An activation code will be displayed on your screen.

  Enter the activation code on your Netflix account to activate the instant-streaming movies to your Wii. You will only have to enter this activation code once.

  Select a movie from your the Netflix menu on you Wii to watch. You can also add movies to your Wii instant queue from your computer.
