How to Get Wii Points on Club Nintendo

You can register for the North American Club Nintendo and earn rewards for your Nintendo console and game purchases, but the club does not offer Wii Points as a reward. You have to go overseas.

In the European Club Nintendo you can earn a set number of ̶0;stars̶1; for every purchase you make. You can then trade in your stars for prizes such as Nintendo-themed clothing, ringtones or even Wii Points. Wii Points can be used to purchase downloadable games on the Wii Shop Channel.

Instructions

  Create an account by visiting the European Club Nintendo website and clicking the ̶0;Join Club Nintendo̶1; link (see Resources).

  Link your new Club Nintendo account to your Wii Shop Channel by powering on your Nintendo Wii and accessing ̶0;Wii Shop Channel̶1; from the main menu. Select ̶0;Settings̶1; and then select ̶0;Club Nintendo Settings.̶1; Input your email address and Club Nintendo password.

  Earn stars automatically by purchasing Nintendo-published games from the Wii Shop Channel.

  Earn stars on retail Nintendo-published games or consoles by registering the code included with the game/console̵7;s documentation. This will be on a separate slip of paper, generally packaged with the instruction manual. Register the code on the ̶0;My Account̶1; page on the Club Nintendo website.

  Redeem your stars on the ̶0;Stars Catalogue̶1; page on the Club Nintendo website. Click the ̶0;Wii Points Card Shop̶1; page to see a listing of available Wii Points Cards and how many stars you need for each.

  Confirm your purchase and write down the Wii Points Card code presented on screen.

  Go to the ̶0;Wii Shop Channel̶1; on your Nintendo Wii and select ̶0;Add Wii Points.̶1; Select ̶0;Redeem Wii Points Card̶1; and enter the code from the Club Nintendo website. Click ̶0;OK̶1; to confirm and begin shopping with your new Wii Points.
