How to Hit a Home Run in Mario Super Sluggers

"Mario Super Sluggers" is a baseball game for the Nintendo Wii video game console featuring several characters from the popular "Super Mario Bros." video game series. In the game, players can utilize the motion sensor control of the Wii to simulate swinging a baseball bat or pitching a baseball. The game also features a "Party Mode" option with several mini-games and the option to practice your moves before playing in an actual game mode.

Instructions

    • 1

Start the game and choose the "Practice" mode option from the main menu by pressing the "A" button on your controller. Practice mode allows you to choose any character to play as and practice pitching or batting.

    • 2

Select your character by pressing the "A" button. Choose the option to practice batting and you'll then see your character at the home plate with a baseball bat.

    • 3

Hold the Wii remote with the buttons facing up as if you were holding a baseball bat. Swing the remote when the ball reaches the plate after being pitched.

    • 4

Wait for the ball to also move into the circle area over the home plate to hit the ball perfectly. Tilt the analog stick on the Wii nunchuck to move your character from left to right while batting.

    • 5

Use a charge swing to try and hit a home run by pulling the Wii remote back before it comes to the plate, and then swing the remote with more force. This move is also known as a maximum charge and will help to hit the ball farther.

    • 6

Continue to hit the ball until the star gauge is full at the bottom of the screen. Use the star swing move to guarantee a home run by holding down the "A" and "B" buttons while you swing.
