How to Activate Another Wii Controller to Play Guitar Hero Aerosmith Multiplayer

Turn on the Wii by pressing the power button either on the Wii controllers or the console itself. Press the "A" button on the Wii controller last used as the first player controller.

Press the "Home" button located between the "plus" and "minus" buttons in the center of the Wii controller when the main menu appears on screen.

Hover the on screen cursor over the phrase "Wii Remote Settings" at the bottom of the screen. Click on the "Reconnect" button.

Press "1" and "2" at the same time on the first player Wii controller you have been using. Take the second controller next and press "1" and "2" at the same time to activate it. Wait until "P1" and "P2" light up on screen, indicating that both controllers are activated.

Click on "Close Wii Remote Settings." Press the "Home" button to close the Settings page.

Insert the Guitar Hero Aerosmith CD into the Wii. Wait for it to load and click on its icon on the Wii Home Screen. It will generally appear in the first box at the top left of the Wii Home Screen.

Select "Multiplayer" when prompted in Guitar hero and select the number of players. Insert a Wii controller into the slot on the Guitar Hero guitars for Wii. You need one Wii controller for each guitar.
