How to Make Your Own Wii Character

The Nintendo Wii includes a built-in interface for designing your own Nintendo Wii characters. These characters, called Miis, can be used in a range of Nintendo Wii games, such as ̶0;Wii Sports,̶1; ̶0;Wii Play,̶1; ̶0;Wii Fit,̶1; ̶0;Mario Kart Wii̶1; and select third-party titles, such as ̶0;Guitar Hero 5̶1; or ̶0;Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing.̶1; The Wii remote features a limited amount of memory for storing a few Nintendo Miis and taking them to play at a friend̵7;s house.

Instructions

  Power on your Nintendo Wii and select ̶0;Mii Channel̶1; from the main menu.

  Select the ̶0;Create Mii̶1; icon (smiley face with a plus sign) from the Mii Plaza. If this is your first time accessing the Mii Channel, you can bypass this step as you̵7;ll be taken directly to the Mii creation screen.

  Choose ̶0;Male̶1; or ̶0;Female̶1; to set your Mii̵7;s gender.

  Click the icon in the upper left of the toolbar (a smiley face with a speech bubble filled with ellipses). Enter a name, the creator̵7;s name, favorite color and birthday for your Mii. You can also set the ̶0;Mingle̶1; feature to "On" or "Off" (this will allow your Mii to visit other consoles if your Wii is connect to the Internet).

  Click the next icon on the toolbar and use the slider bars to set your Mii̵7;s height and weight.

  Click the next icon to choose your Mii̵7;s face shape, skin tone and makeup.

  Click the next icon to choose your Mii̵7;s hairstyle and color.

  Click the next icon to choose your Mii̵7;s eyebrows. Use the various icons to set the eyebrow style, color, height and size. Click the next three icons and repeat the process for eyes, nose and mouth.

  Click the final icon to give your Mii a few finishing touches, such as eyeglasses or facial hair.

  Click ̶0;Quit̶1; in the lower left corner and then click ̶0;Yes̶1; to agree to save your Mii at the prompt.
