How to Tune a Wii

Tune your Nintendo Wii̵7;s sensitivity settings to improve your gaming experience. When you̵7;re playing your Wii, you may notice that the controller isn̵7;t quite recognizing your movements accurately. If this occurs, it̵7;s time to calibrate your Wii Sensor Bar or your Wii MotionPlus.

Instructions

  1. Adjust Sensor Bar Sensitivity

      Select the ̶0;Wii̶1; icon from the lower left of your screen (from the main Wii Channels menu).

      Select ̶0;Wii Settings.̶1;

      Use the ̶0;+̶1; button to scroll to the second page of settings and select ̶0;Sensor Bar.̶1;

      Select ̶0;Above TV̶1; if your Wii Sensor Bar is on top of your television, or ̶0;Below TV̶1; if it̵7;s under your television.

      Click ̶0;Confirm.̶1; Stand three to ten feet from your television and wave your Nintendo Wii Remote across the screen.

      Use the ̶0;+̶1; and ̶0;-̶0; buttons to adjust sensitivity if you do not see two blinking dots. If you see two blinking dots, then the settings are fine.

    Calibrate Wii MotionPlus

    • 7

      Press the ̶0;Home̶1; button in the center of your Wii Remote at any time to calibrate your Wii MotionPlus.

      Select the ̶0;Calibrate Wii MotionPlus̶1; option.

      Lay your Wii Remote on a flat surface until the screen says ̶0;OK!̶1;
