Infinite Lives Trick

• This cheat will allow you to gain an unlimited number of lives to use in this game. These lives will allow you to try time and time again if you reach a section of the game that troubles you. This trick can be completed in section 1-2, the level 1 Fortress or section 7-5. You must have Mario equip the Raccoon suit to complete this trick.

  When you reach the horizontal pipe at the beginning of the stage, wait for the Goombas to appear. After two or three are available, jump on the first one. When Mario hits his head, hold the A button to fly into the air. At that point, control Mario's descent so you can bounce on the second Goomba. Continue this process long enough and the points that you are rewarded will turn into extra lives. Keep bouncing on the Goomba's heads to get as many lives as you want.

White Mushroom Houses

• White mushroom houses are hidden throughout the game. These houses hold special items or coins to help Mario complete his adventure. To find these houses, you must have a certain amount of coins when you reach the goal of that stage. The house in level 1-4 is revealed if you have 44 coins. The level 2-2 house is found if you have 30 coins. The house in level 3-8 is unlocked if you find 42 coins. To find the house in level 4-2 complete the stage with 22 coins. The house in level 5-5 is unlocked with 28 coins. The house hidden in level 6-7 requires 78 coins. The final house in level 7-2 requires 42 coins. These houses contain Pwings or anchor items that can help Mario advance locations while on the world map.

Easy Boss Battle

• You can use this trick to quickly defeat Bowser the dragon, the main protagonist of Super Mario Brothers 3. This trick is possible as both large and small Mario, but it is easier to complete if you are small. When you reach Bowser you must not touch his head, as this is the only part of his body that will harm you. Dodge his fireballs and run under him when he jumps to get to the other side. Large Mario can duck when Bowser jumps, but he still may get struck. Use this trick to quickly defeat the final boss of the game.
