How to Get More Blocks for Wii

The Wii is an interactive gaming console designed, developed and manufactured by Nintendo. The console comes equipped with 512MB of internal memory. The memory is represented by blocks of space on the console. To get more blocks on the Wii, you will need to add more memory. The Wii console accepts additional memory in the form of SD and SDHC (SD High Capacity) cards. SDHC cards offer up to 32 GB of additional memory.

Instructions

      Power off the Wii console.

      Open the SD card slot cover located on the front of the console.

      Insert the SD or SDHC card into the SD card slot opening. Close the SD card slot cover.

      Power on the Wii console.

      Select "Wii System Settings" from the Wii Menu. Use the Wii Remote to point to the "Settings" button. Press the "A" button to enter the settings.

      Click the blue arrow two times to access the "Wii System Settings 3" menu options.

      Select "Wii System Update" from the resulting screen. Press the "A" button to continue. Select "I Accept" to download and install the update. SD cards less than 2 GB and SDHC cards less than 32 GB are compatible with the latest software update as of 2010.
