Nintendo Wii
First, you̵7;ll need a Nintendo Wii and all of its components. Hook up the Wii by connecting the Wii AC adapter and plugging it into your wall, extension cord or power strip. Use the Wii AV cable to connect your Nintendo Wii to a television. The Wii Sensor Bar connects to the back of your Wii and sits either directly above or directly below your television to serve as a beacon for the Wii Remote.
Controllers
You̵7;ll need at least one Wii Remote, which come packaged with the system, as well as the Nunchuk attachment. The Nunchuk is required for certain mini-games only, such as the jogging mini-game, which has you jog in place with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in your hands to simulate jogging. You can play "Wii Fit" without a Nunchuk, but you will not be able to access all of its features.
Wii Balance Board
"Wii Fit" comes bundled with the Balance Board peripheral, which requires four AA batteries to operate. Several companies sell special battery packs designed specifically for the Balance Board. The battery packs fit into the Balance Board̵7;s battery compartment and plug directly into the Nintendo Wii̵7;s USB port to charge so you don̵7;t need an extra outlet. The first time you use your Wii Balance Board, you will need to sync it to your Nintendo Wii. Open the SD card slot cover on the front of your Nintendo Wii and press the red "Sync" button. Locate the red "Sync" button on the underside of the Balance Board, underneath the battery cover, and press it. The blue light on the Balance Board's power button will flash for a few seconds. Once it has stopped flashing and glows steadily, the sync is complete.
