      Access the Wii Menu, select the "Wii Shop Channel" and click "Start."

      Enter your Nintendo.com username and password. You may skip this step by selecting "Do not link."

      Select "Start Shopping" and open "WiiWare."

      Select "Internet Channel" from the list and choose "Download." The Internet Channel is a free download.

      Select "Yes" on the following two prompts to confirm the download. The Wii will begin downloading the Internet Channel, which should take a few minutes.
