How to Check the Serial Number on Your Wii

Almost every product that leaves a warehouse is stamped with a unique serial number, giving that item a tag that can be used to track it around the world. The Nintendo Wii is no different. By locating your Wii serial number, you can register it with Nintendo. This is necessary in case repair or support is required on the unit.

     Turn off your Wii.

     Unplug all cables from the Wii.

     Lie the Wii on its side so the Nintendo label on the bottom is facing up.

     Locate the "Serial No:" bar code and read your 12 character alpha-numeric serial number.
