Four Player Coop Games for the Nintendo Wii

Up to four players can play simultaneously on the Nintendo Wii. Regardless of what type of gaming genre---such as sports, puzzles or action---you're into, cooperative games are plentiful on the Nintendo Wii consoles. Look for games that have coop modes designed with multiple players in mind, which usually makes for a different game experience than the same game's single player component.
  1. Ghost Squad

    • Ghost Squad is an arcade-style "lightgun" shooter exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. Players are encouraged to use a Wii remote or one of the many gun peripherals available for the Nintendo Wii to physically simulate the shooting mechanic. More than 25 weapons are available in this game. Certain weapons have unique characteristics. For instance, the sniper rifle is capable of piercing through certain areas of cover that enemies use to shield themselves.

    New Super Mario Bros.

    • Reintroducing the tried and true side-scrolling mechanic on the Nintendo Wii, New Super Mario Bros. is reincarnated as the classic Super Mario game play nearly every gamer recognizes. For the first time, up to four players at once are encouraged to tackle the game's various stages. Popular Super Mario characters from Luigi to Toad are also available throughout the game.

    Rock Band 2

    • Starting your own band has never been easier since Rock Band was released for the Nintendo Wii. This game allows up to four players to select from an extended list of songs (new songs are added weekly) and play them from beginning to end using the game's instrument peripherals, including guitars, drums and a microphone. An in-depth character creator allows players to recreate themselves as rockstars (or make an entirely new persona), which can then be exported into the band and used in the game's "World Tour" mode.
