Connecting Via Wireless Router
Connect to your computer̵7;s pre-existing Wi-Fi network by accessing the ̶0;Internet Settings̶1; menu. Select the ̶0;Wii̶1; icon from the main menu, then choose ̶0;Wii Settings,̶1; then scroll to the second page of options and click ̶0;Internet.̶1;
Select ̶0;Connection Settings̶1; and choose the first available connection (it should be Connection 1 if you̵7;ve never hooked up your Wii to the Internet before).
Select ̶0;Wireless Connection,̶1; then click ̶0;Search for Access Point.̶1; Wait as the Nintendo Wii finds available wireless networks.
Select the appropriate wireless network from the list. If you don̵7;t know your connections, SSID or any applicable encryption keys, refer to your router̵7;s documentation on how to access the information.
Click ̶0;OK̶1; and then ̶0;OK̶1; again to finalize and test the connection.
Connecting Via Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector
Purchase a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector if your home only has a wired high-speed Internet connection.
Install the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector software onto your computer and plug the device into an available USB port.
Access the ̶0;Internet Settings̶1; menu on your Nintendo Wii, select ̶0;Connection Settings̶1; and choose the first available connection.
Select ̶0;Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector,̶1; then click "Next."
Return to your computer and double-click the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector icon in the lower right corner of your screen. Find your Nintendo Wii on the list of available devices and click ̶0;Grant permission to connect.̶1;
Return to your Nintendo Wii and click ̶0;Next,̶1; and then ̶0;OK̶1; to finish establishing the connection.
