Popular Wii Games for Boys

The Nintendo Wii is a popular video game console that uses a unique motion controller called the Wii remote. The Wii offers many games that appeal to boys of all ages, many of which that feature classic Nintendo characters like Mario and Donkey Kong. The games for the Wii span all genres and are made for all age levels.

Super Mario Kart Wii
- Super Mario Kart Wii is a racing game for the Wii system that features a cast of classic Nintendo characters. The game play in Mario Kart Wii is similar to the Mario kart titles for previous Nintendo systems, but players may elect to play with Wii remotes or standard GameCube controllers. Mario Kart Wii also allows players to play online through Nintendo Wifi Connection, allowing competitive players to race against friends or unknown racers from across the globe.
Super Mario Galaxy
- Super Mario Galaxy is the Wii version of Nintendo's famous Mario platforming series. The game builds on conventions of past 3D Mario games, such as super Mario 64 and and Super Mario Sunshine, but it has many old conventions such as collecting coins and Star Coins.
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
- For older, more mature boys, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is a popular action adventure game. The game features fast-paced, over-the-shoulder combat as the protagonist battles against zombies and other monsters. Resident Evil 4 was originally released for the Nintendo GameCube, but the Wii edition is equally compelling.
Tatsunoko v.s Capcom
- Tatsunoko vs Capcom is a 2D fighting game produced by Capcom that features a roster of fighters from classic Capcom game franchises such as Megaman and Street Fighter as well as classic characters made by Tatsunoko, a Japanese animation studio. While many of the characters will likely not be familiar to players outside Japan, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is one of the only true fighting games on the Wii. It also offers online battling through Nintendo Wifi.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl is one of the most popular games for the Nintendo Wii system. The game features the same innovative fighting system of the past Smash Bros. games, allowing up to four characters to battle on a stage at the same time with the goal of knocking opposing characters off the stage. Many classic Nintendo characters are available such as Star Fox, Mario and Luigi, but some third-party characters are also playable, such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Solid Snake. Smash Bros. Brawl is a great party game because of the simultaneous four-player functionality, and it can also be played online.
