How Do I Change the Wii Game to English?

The Nintendo Wii video game console is a multiplayer system designed for all ages. Nintendo, a Japanese company, distributes the system all over the world, and programs the system to be usable in a number of different languages. While it is possible to change the language on the Wii's menus and system pages, it is impossible to program the Wii to translate text within individual games; you cannot, for example, insert a Japanese game and have the Wii change the dialogue to English.

  Power on the Wii. You'll be brought to the Wii Channel Menu.

  Use the Wii Remote to navigate to the "Wii" button in the lower-left of the screen. Press "A."

  Select the "Wii Settings" option. It's indicated by a wrench icon.

  Click on the blue arrow twice. This takes you to the third system settings page.

  Choose "Language" and press the "A" button.

  Hover over "English" and press the "A" button to select it.

  Hover over "Confirm" and press "A" to finalize your choice. All Wii menus will now appear in your chosen language.
