Things You'll Need
Instructions
Check all connections on your router, USB connector and computer. Any loose cables or connections may cause weaker signal strengths.
Place your router or USB access point closer to the Wii. The signal may have difficulty traveling more than 10 yards or through walls, floors and other household obstacles.
Make sure that metal objects--such as stair banisters, filing cabinets or metal speakers--are not located next to your wireless access point. These may weaken, redirect or corrupt your signal.
Point your router or USB dongle directly at the Wii. Many routers are omni-directional, but some older routers give stronger signals directly opposite the direction it is facing.
Avoid placing your Wi-Fi access point near microwaves, unshielded speakers, vacuum cleaners or any other devices that cause interference. Weak signals may be a result of the interaction between these appliances and your system.
