Early Childhood Video Games for the Wii

The Wii is a popular Nintendo video game console. According to Time.com, the console features digital sensors that let users virtually play the game. Gamers of all ages enjoy the Wii, but some games are created with children in mind. Games for children are non-violent, easy to play and rated "E for Everyone."
  1. A Boy and his Blob

    • "A Boy and his Blob" for Wii is an updated version of a 1989 Nintendo game. An alien blob's spaceship malfunctions and crashes on earth. Soon after, the blob meets a young boy and they set out on a series of 40 quests. The boy and the blob must find hidden treasure chests on each of the quests.

The action starts on Earth where the boy and the blob first meet. Later, the action switches to the blob's home planet of Blobolonia. Finally, the boy and the blob visit a citadel to defeat an evil emperor who is trying to conquer the alien planet.

    Boom Blox Bash Party

    • "Boom Blox Bash Party " for Wii is the creation of Electronic Arts and Steven Spielberg. Each level in the game consists of a towering stack of blocks. Players throw balls at the blocks to knock them down. The blocks must fall before players run out of throws.

Each level has the same objective: knock down the blocks. To keep things interesting, each level has a different winning requirement. Players might have less than a minute to knock down 20 blocks. Or they might have to get 50 points in fewer than 20 throws. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded.

    Ultimate I Spy

    • "Ultimate I Spy" for Wii is based on the famous I Spy series of books. The premise is the same: players search for specific objects hidden within a scene. There are 10 locations to search, and more than 30 scenes within the game.

Hidden items appear in the most unlikely places. Players must look above, below or in-between other items to find the hidden objects. Some items are only visible after players successfully complete a mini-game.
