How to Check Your Wii Firmware

The Nintendo Wii occasionally requires firmware updates to improve performance, play the latest games and add features. The system discovers firmware updates automatically when it connects to the Internet. Checking what version of firmware is on your Wii is simple.

     Turn on your TV and Wii.

     Select the "Wii Options" button in the main menu. It is in the bottom left corner.
