Nintendo Wii Update
Click on the Wii Homebrew Channel icon to load the Homebrew Channel. After the Homebrew Channel loads, occasionally a message pops up saying that an update is available. If this does not pop up, you can manually check for new updates.
Press the "B" button on the Wii remote. Point and select the "Update" icon that appears on the screen. Wait for the screen to turn black and the Update manager to load.
Press "A" on the remote to accept the agreement. Use the remote's arrows to scroll through and select the newest version of the Homebrew Channel.
Press the "A" button twice to confirm the download. Wait for the Homebrew Channel to fully update and download to your Nintendo Wii. When this occurs, the Wii will automatically restart. If the Wii does not restart, manually unplug the Wii and then plug it back in.
Click on the Homebrew Channel icon again and the new channel is now fully updated. Read the pop-up message about new features or small bugs that were fixed from previous versions.
SD Card Update
Remove the SD card from your Nintendo Wii and plug it into a card reader on your computer.
Download the newest version of the Homebrew Channel from WiiBrew.org. They have a separate Homebrew Channel page that is constantly updated with fixes and new versions.
Drag the Homebrew Channel files to the root of the SD card.
Insert the SD card back into your Wii and load the Homebrew Channel. Click on the new Homebrew Channel application that you added to the card.
Follow the prompts with the Wii remote to update the Homebrew Channel. Restart the Wii when the process is completed.
