Does the Breed Matter?

• Players can choose from 48 different breeds of dogs, but the choice is purely aesthetic. There are no gameplay advantages or disadvantages to any breed.

Can the Controller Be Changed?

• There is no option in the game that allows you to change the button configuration for the Wii remote, nor does the game support any other controller, including the Wii classic controller.

How Do You Save?

• You must talk to "Mr. Postman" to open the save menu. Select one of the four save game slots from the menu to save your current progress. Selecting a save slot that has data in it will cause the old save file to be overwritten. You can't save if Mr. Postman is not around.

How Do You Get the Master Hats?

• The four master hats are rewards for completing one of the four collector books. You must find one of each type of flower, food, fish or bug to complete a collector book. Completing any of the collector books will automatically unlock the matching master hat. This will take some time because some items are located in areas that are not immediately accessible.

How Do You Fight Enemies?

• "The Dog Island" does not have a combat system. A dog can only bark or howl at enemies, which is accomplished by pressing or holding down the "-" button on the Wii remote. These attacks will temporarily stun enemies, and the strength of the bark or howl depends on how long you hold the button. You can howl only if your power bar is full.
