Zelda Games for Wii

The Legend of Zelda game series has been on Nintendo consoles since the original adventure was released in the mid-1980s. "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" was a launch title for the Nintendo Wii, and some of the older games are also available for play on the console, including a GameCube title and other titles you can download on the Virtual Console.
  1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

    • Not much has changed from the standard Zelda plot. Link must again rescue Princess Zelda from Ganon. A new wrinkle here is that Link must occasionally turn into a wolf to help save Hyrule from a mysterious shadow that has taken over part of the world.

    The Legend of Zelda

    • This original NES title started it all. Move from screen to screen to collect items and find the location of nine mysterious underground labyrinths, each with a boss battle and piece of triforce at the end. Find eight pieces of triforce to open the way to Ganon's lair so you can rescue Zelda.

    Zelda II: Link's Awakening

    • This NES sequel took a different tactic, as Link must beat enemies to level up and increase his health, magic and other powers in this role-playing game hybrid. Rather than a top down view, the dungeon and city sequences are of a side-scrolling nature.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

    • This GameCube title (the disc of which will play in the Nintendo Wii) diverts from the normal Zelda formula by requiring Link to transverse the world in a boat across the oceans. It also features cel-shaded graphics for a more childlike look.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

    • This Super Nintendo game features the standard formula more in similarity to the original NES game than its sequel, and also introduced the dark world. Link must travel here after finishing his initial quest and must move back and forth from the light world to the dark to solve puzzles and defeat Ganon.
