How to establish a wifi connection for Nintendo wii

Not to be outdone by the expansive online components of other gaming consoles consoles, the Nintendo Wii includes a built-in Wi-Fi adapter that is used to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is the official online matchmaking service for online Wii games such as "Mario Kart," "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" and "Pokemon Battle Revolution." In addition to free online multiplayer, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection also houses premium content such as additional Wii Channels and downloadable games.

      Turn the Wii on. Press the "A" button on the Wii Remote to turn the remote on. Wait for the Wii Channel Menu to load.

      Move the Wii Remote with your hand to move the pointer to the "Wii" icon on the screen. Press the "A" button to enter the Wii Settings menu and to select items within the Wii Settings menu.

      Select the "Wii Settings" to open the Wii System Settings sub-menus. Select the arrow on the right side of the screen to move the Wii System Settings Page 2.

      Select "Internet." Select "Connection 1: None." Select "Wireless Connection." Select "Search for an Access Point." Select "OK." The Wii will display all of the wireless networks in range.

      Select the name of your wireless network. If applicable, enter the password using the on-screen keyboard. Select "OK." Select "Save Settings." Select "Yes." The Wii will test the connection. After the test completes, the Wii will use the entered settings whenever connecting to the wireless network.
