How to Use Snake's Codec in SSBB

Snake is one of the fighters included in ̶0;Super Smash Brothers Brawl.̶1; He is the lead character of the ̶0;Metal Gear̶1; series. He has a secret taunt known as Snake̵7;s codec. The codec causes Snake to call another character on the radio similar in style to ̶0;Metal Gear Solid.̶1; These conversations are usually comedic and provide background information on each character. Unlike most taunts, Snake̵7;s codec can only be used under very specific conditions.

Instructions

    • 1

Start a singles match. The game type and other options in ̶0;Super Smash Brothers Brawl̶1; do not matter, but you must select Snake as your character.

    • 2

Select a second character to oppose Snake (and serve as the target of the codec). Select Shadow Moses Island for the fighting stage. This is the only level where this taunt can be used.

    • 3

Lightly press down on the direction pad. The pressure needed to activate the taunt is very specific. If you press too lightly, Snake will not do anything. If you press too hard, Snake will do a normal taunt. Adjust the pressure accordingly if you do not get it your first try.

    • 4

Control your character as you normally would when a box with the word ̶0;Call̶1; appears in the middle of the screen. This indicates that Snake̵7;s codec has worked. An approximately 30 second long conversation between Snake and another character from "Metal Gear Solid" will start to play. The character Snake is talking to will react if you are knocked out, which will cause the codec to end.
