How to Hook Up a Second Guitar to the Wii Rock Band

Insert the "Rock Band" disc into the Wii console. Start the game, and begin one of the various play modes.

Unpack the Wii "Rock Band" instruments from the packaging, if you haven't already. At this point, it might help to label which dongle came with which guitar using the masking tape and marker. Label the guitar which came with the "Rock Band" game with an "A" or a "1," and the second guitar with a "B" or the number "2."

Attach the head to the guitar neck, and place batteries into the compartment on the back of the guitar. Attach the strap to the guitar.

Plug the white dongle into the back of the Wii console.

Press and hold the button on the dongle, and the "Guitar" button on the guitar controller; then hold the button underneath the "Guitar" button. The Wii console will assign that instrument to one of the controller slots on the system.

Plug the microphone into the second USB slot on the Wii console.

Plug the second dongle into the USB slot on the first dongle, and follow step 5 to connect that guitar to the console.

Assemble the drum kit. Build the stand, and then place the drum on top. Consult the directions if you have any issues putting together this instrument.

Plug the black dongle into the USB slot on the second dongle, and sync the drum with the machine using the same principle as in Step 5.
