One of the great advances in computer interface technology is the USB port, and it's progressed not just from desktop and laptop computers, but to gaming consoles as well. USB ports allow plug-and-play capabilities, and some can even provide power to the devices they use. Even better, multiplex USB hubs can be plugged into USB ports, letting you daisy-chain multiple devices to them; this is popular on the Wii for attaching USB modems and external hard drives.
