How to Play Multi-Disc Games on Wii

Since the move from a cartridge-based game format to a disc-based format, there have been countless multi-disc games where a single title will span two or more game discs. While there are currently no multi-disc titles exclusive to the Nintendo Wii, there are a number for the Nintendo Gamecube---such as Killer 7 and Resident Evil 4---that are playable on the Wii. Playing a multi-disc game on the Wii is easy, working much like any other game.

Instructions

    • 1

Power on your Nintendo Wii using the Wii remote or by pressing the power button on the front of the console.

    • 2

Insert the first disc of the multi-disc game into your Wii's disc slot. This disc is always clearly labeled as the first disc.

    • 3

Play through the game. Upon reaching a certain point, the game will prompt you to insert the second game disc. Typically you are asked to save before doing so. This varies depending on the game.

    • 4

Eject the first game disc by pressing the Eject button on the front of the Wii console.

    • 5

Insert the second game disc into your Wii's disc slot. Continue playing as normal.
