Wii Points are used to purchase online games from the Wii Shop Channel, part of the Nintento Wii video game console. They can be purchased online using a credit or debit card or bought as a card from your local video game retailer. The points consist of a 16-digit number that must be entered to use points to download the game. Some Wii games that you can purchase and play might come with free Wii points that you can redeem.

  Purchase a Wii that comes with a free Wii download ticket. These deals can vary depending on the retailer, but some past games that have came with download tickets include ̶0;Wii Fit̶1; and ̶0;Mario Kart Wii.̶1;

  Turn on your Wii and make sure it is connected online. Click on the ̶0;Wii Shop Channel̶1; option from the main menu.

  Click on the ̶0;Settings and Features̶1; option. Scroll down and select the ̶0;Wii Download Ticket̶1; option.

  Find the 16-digit number on your Wii download ticket card that came with your game. You may have to scratch off a portion of the card to see the number.

  Type the code inside the ticket number field on your Wii and the click on the ̶0;OK̶1; button. Find the game that you want to download from the choices and the click on the ̶0;Now̶1; button. Your game will then download and appear in your main Wii menu.
