Instructions

  1. No Picture

    • 1

Turn your television to the correct video input channel. For many televisions, you can press the "Input" button until you see the Wii start up screen.

    • 2

Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the DC jack on the Wii and the opposite end is plugged into a working electrical outlet. Press the "Power" button on the Wii and wait for the indicator light to turn blue.

    • 3

Secure all of the Wii component cables to the "Video In" jacks on the television. In addition, make sure the opposite end of the wire is fully plugged into the Wii.

    Poor or No Sound

    • 4

Press the "Mute" button or the "Volume Up" button on your television to ensure the television's volume was not turned down.

    • 5

Check that the Wii audio cables are securely plugged into the "Audio In" jacks on your television. Make sure the opposite end of the audio cables are plugged into the Wii.

    • 6

Wait several seconds for the sound to start. Some games on the Wii do not have sound until the game play starts.

    Game Disc Does Not Work

    • 7

Check that the disc was inserted properly into the Wii. If you set up the Wii horizontally, the disc label should face up when inserting it into the machine. If you set up the Wii vertically, the label should face to the right.

    • 8

Clean the disc by wiping a soft cloth from the center of the disc to the outside. Do not rub the disc in a circular motion, as this may damage the disc.

    • 9

Remove the disc from the Wii and turn off the power. Turn the power on again and reinsert the disc. This may clear any errors in the system and return the Wii to normal working order.
