How to Play Wii Games on a PC

There are gamers out there who sometimes find that, despite their best efforts, their television screens just don't have a better resolution than the screens on their PC. There is no need to be frustrated; there is a way for many game consoles to connect to a PC monitor. In the case of the Nintendo Wii, there are cables available that allow for the Wii's signal to be transferred into the VGA standard used by PC monitors.

Things You'll Need

  • Wii-to-VGA adapter cable
  • Wii
  • PC monitor
  • Audio output device
  • Scotch tape

Instructions

    • 1

      Connect the VGA end of the Wii-to-VGA adapter cable to the available VGA port on your PC monitor.

      Connect the Wii end of the adapter to your Wii.

    • 3

      Connect the audio (red and white) ends of the adapter to an audio output device, such as a stereo, PC speakers or television.

      Place the Wii sensor bar on top of your PC monitor. Tape the bar to the top of the monitor to secure the sensor bar.

    • 5

      Turn your Wii, monitor and audio device on to make sure they are working. You should be able to play your Wii on your PC monitor.
