How to Browse With Wii

The Nintendo Wii is known for its unique and interactive game play. In addition, the Wii can be used to browse interactive channels, including the Internet, News, and Forecast channels.

      Turn on the Wii. Click on the "Wii Shop" channel, then "Start Shopping." Select "Wii Channels." Choose "Internet Channel" from the list. Click "Update" to download it to your console. Return to the main menu.

      Click the "Internet Channel." From here, you can search or enter a URL directly, giving you full web browser functionality.

      Visit the Wii Forecast channel by clicking on the "Forecast Channel" box on the main menu. Click ̶0;Start̶1; on the following screen. Click ̶0;Settings̶1; to change the city, temperature and wind display features.

      View the forecast by clicking ̶0;Today̶1; at the bottom of the screen. Click on ̶0;Globe̶1; to view conditions and forecasts from around the world.

      Visit the Wii News channel by clicking on the ̶0;News Channel̶1; box on the main menu. Click ̶0;Start̶1; on the next page.

      Select one of the news categories from the list provided. Point the remote and press the ̶0;A̶1; button on any of the headlines on the screen. Make the text larger or smaller by pressing the plus and minus buttons on the remote.

      Click the map to see the location of the news story. View other news stories around the world by pressing ̶0;A̶1; on any of the highlighted areas on the map.
