How to Hook Up a Wii to Surround Sound

The Nintendo Wii is only capable of Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound. Since the Wii cannot communicate with single-speaker configurations, you're limited to 5.1 surround sound via speaker pairs (such as left and right or front and back.). This configuration is for a basic external 5.1 surround sound system that is already connected to your television. No additional cables need to be connected to the Wii.
