Standard Sync
Push the "Power" button on the console. The system powers on and the light behind the "Power" button turns green.
Flip open the SD card compartment on the Wii. The SD card slot is a thin door on the left side of the front of the Wii console.
Take off the battery cover on the Wii controller. Insert two AA batteries into the remote if you haven̵7;t already done so.
Press the ̶0;Sync̶1; button inside the SD card compartment on the Wii console and release it. Push in the ̶0;Sync̶1; button just below the battery slot on the Wii controller, then release. The lights at the top of the Wii controller will blink. Once they have stopped blinking, the syncing process is done.
One-Time Sync
Turn the Wii on and switch the input on the television so that the Wii picture shows on the screen. Use a controller that is already synced to the Wii console to press the ̶0;Home̶1; button to open the Home menu.
Choose the ̶0;Wii Remote Settings̶1; options from the Home menu. When the Wii Remote Settings menu appears, press the ̶0;Reconnect̶1; button.
Press down the ̶0;1̶1; and ̶0;2̶1; buttons simultaneously on the controller that you want to sync up with the Wii console. If you are temporarily syncing more than one controller to the system, press the ̶0;1̶1; and ̶0;2̶1; buttons on each controller, one controller at a time, immediately following each other. For example, if you are syncing three Wii controllers temporarily to the Wii, press ̶0;1̶1; and ̶0;2̶1; on the first controller and release, then press ̶0;1̶1; and ̶0;2̶1; on the second controller and release, then press ̶0;1̶1; and ̶0;2̶1; on the third controller. The controllers connect to the Wii in the order in which they are synced.
